Hello and welcome to the St. Stanislaus Music Room! I am excited to be working with all the students this year and I am looking forward to helping them learn and explore all the different aspects of music. All classes will be working on our wonderful school theme songs for the 2026/2027 school year as well as learning how to read music and play on a variety of instruments.
In K – 1st we will be learning solfege, notation and some basic ear training. We will also be working with hand bells and percussion instruments throughout the year.
In 2nd grade we will be working with hand bells, percussion instruments, solfege, notation and basic music theory. We will also be spending time learning the beautiful hymns for first reconciliation and first Holy Communion.
In 3rd through 8th, we will be learning how to read music on the recorders as well as working on ear training, music theory and solfege. In grades 5th through 8th, we will be also working with the ukulele to learn chords, rhythms and how to play as a group. We will be doing a few performances throughout the year to allow students to showcase all their efforts from the classroom for others to enjoy. Thank you and God Bless!
