Mrs. Meagan Harnum – Gym

Welcome parents and students of St. Stanislaus School.  My name is Meagan St. Pierre Harnum (Mrs. Harnum) and I am the new Physical Education teacher for all grades, PreK-3 through grade 8.  This is my first year teaching at St. Stan’s, however, I’m very familiar what our school offers in academics across the board.  I am an alumni of the school and a parent of two current students, 5th grade and kindergarten.  I hold 2 college degrees, including a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Biology, with a minor in Chemistry.   I have been a stay-at-home mom to my girls for the past 5 years, prior to that, I worked for the City of Chicopee’s Water Pollution Control Facility for 6 years as the Environmental Biologist in the facility’s lab.  I also hold a certification in the exercise philosophy of Pilates, which incorporates body mindfulness in regards to physiology and proper movement for strong, healthy bodies.  I am currently the head coach of my oldest daughter’s U-11 travel soccer team, and have been an athlete, primarily soccer, from the age of 4 through my collegiate years.

I am approaching this new chapter with enthusiasm, positive energy and the willingness to work with your children towards a unified goal: to conduct each activity with the best individual effort they have to show.  I look forward meeting all of the children and working with them through the year towards Physical Education greatness!
